A solution for local infiltration or attenuation of rainwater and run-off water of sewage plants. The DIBt®-approval is one innovation of the DRAINMAX Tunnel infiltration system. It is with 1.6 m³ a large volume and light plastic tray system that creates a hollow space in the soil. With these, the rain water can be directly retained at the source and will infiltrate through the open soil and side holes. It is possible to also restrict the water flow to only the pipe. This technology saves significant costs on laying complex piping systems. You can also use the DRAINMAX tunnel system for infiltration of effluent water from sewage plants. The PURAIN Rainwater filter, also known as the hydraulic jump filter, is the innovation for roof areas ranging from 60m² to more than 15.000m². This hydraulic jump technology cleans itself automatically. The design model for PURAIN Rainwater filters comes from nature: At almost every course in a stream, you can see how the hydraulic jump functions. The water flows over one of the stones, smooth and rounded by the action of the water over time. The water flow is substantially changed by the height drop, from a sub-critical to a super- critical flow. At the bottom of the dip, the waterflow changes again to a subcritical flow in a process now commonly known as hydraulic jump. This resulting increase in water power is similar to a strong eddy and any impurities are then forced over the next level and washed away downstream. Finally a filter that is low maintenance and self-cleaning! Advantages: Minimal height offset Minimal maintenance intervals Removing dirt by immersing the sieve Self-cleaning thanks to the hydraulic jump Integrated skimmer Integrated non-return valve Minimal blocking tendency due to the trapezoidal gap sieve design Filter cleaning efficiency is maintained with the use of the backflushing nozzle. The nozzle flushes the sieve clean from behind…

A Control Valve is a device capable of modulating flow at varying degrees between minimal flow and full capacity in response to a signal from an external control device. In a process control loop, an Electronic Controller and Sensor is used in conjunction with a Control Valve to maintain a process variable at a desired set point. The controller compares the sensor signal to the set point and outputs the appropriate response signal to the control valve. The control valve will then modulate to provide the flow response required to maintain the process variable at the set point. In the case of a pneumatic control valve such as the W910 Series, a current-to-pressure (I/P) transducer is required to convert the electrical signal from the controller to the air pressure signal needed to operate the pneumatic valve. Watson McDaniel is unique in its ability to provide all the necessary components to create a complete control loop.

Pilot-Operated Regulators are more accurate and offer higher capacities than standard direct-operated regulators. They will maintain constant set outlet pressure even when inlet pressure fluctuates or variations in flow occur. With the proper selection of pilots, these regulators will accurately control temperature, pressure or a combination of both.

The Watson McDaniel The Watson McDaniel HD-Series Pilot Operated Regulators were designed for extremely accurate control of temperature and pressure in steam service applications. The HD-Series is made of Ductile Iron for extended pressure and temperature ratings. These regulators use several different control pilots, which can be attached to the valve to control pressure, temperature, or a combination of both. The different control pilots can be added or removed from the regulator body. This modular design adds to the versatility of this product. The most common options include the P-Pilot for pressure reducing, and the T-Pilot for temperature control. were designed for extremely accurate control of temperature and pressure in steam service applications. The Watson McDaniel PMP Series of Pressure Motive Pumps are designed to transfer hot condensate (or other liquids) without the use of electrical power. The mechanical seals in standard electric condensate return pumps begin to have difficulty when handling condensate in excess of 195° F. Seal failure is virtually guaranteed when condensate temperatures reach 203° F due to flashing of the condensate across the seal face. It is therefore required to cool condensate in order to prevent seal failure prior to pumping using electric pumps. PMPs do not have seals and therefore will handle condensate well in excess of these temperatures. The primary application for the PMP is pumping condensate from a process application or condensate collection area back to the condensate return system. All PMP Series stand alone units are furnished with pump tank, check valves, and internal pumping mechanism. The PMPSP Sump Drainer is a special PMP designed for pumping water out of low lying areas or pits. It is an excellent solution where there is no access to electricity. Watson McDaniel also offers Pumps with Receiver Tanks which consist of one or more stand alone pump units connected to an appropriately sized receiver tank mounted on a common base. Additional pumping units can be used for increased…

A Steam Trap is an automatic valve that allows condensate, air and other non-condensable gases to be discharged from the steam system while holding or trapping the steam in the system. Several different types of steam trap technologies exist to accomplish this extremely critical and necessary task. We carry a variety of steam trap types and sizes to handle a wide range of applications. Here are some documents regarding Steam Traps Steam Traps Steam Trap Basics – a Guide to Steam Trap Applications Univerasal Style Steam Traps
Steam Traps
The Float & Thermostatic (F&T) Trap uses a float connected by a linkage to the valve plug to discharge condensate from the system. In addition, F&T traps contain a thermostatic air vent to allow the discharge of air from the system. For this reason, these traps have excellent air removal capability, which is advantageous during system start-up when large amounts of air are present in the system. Float & thermostatic steam traps are generally the primary selection for steam system drip applications, up to 30 PSIG, and for drainage of process heat transfer equipment, up to 450 PSIG.

DRIP, TRACING PROCESS: IB Series inverted bucket steam traps are used in drip applications to remove condensate from steam mains and steam supply lines. For drip applications, the smaller sized units have adequate capacity. The discharge orifice of the inverted bucket trap is mounted at the top of the trap body, which makes them less susceptible to failure from dirt and debris when compared to other trap types. Since Inverted Bucket traps have poor air-handling capability, they are normally not recommended for most process applications. However, they can be used on certain process applications such as unit heaters and laundry equipment, where discharging air during system start-up is not a critical factor. F&T traps are the preferred choice for systems where air must be quickly discharged.

DRIP, TRACER: The TD600 Thermodynamic Steam Trap is commonly used as a drip trap on steam mains and steam supply lines. These traps can be used on tracing applications; however, thermostatic traps are normally recommended for this service. Ideal for outdoor applications that are subject to freezing and for superheated steam conditions. DRIP, TRACER: The TD600S Thermodynamic Steam Trap is commonly used as a drip trap on steam mains and steam supply lines. Supplied with integral strainer and optional blowdown valve to protect the trap from contamination. These traps can be used on tracing applications; however, thermostatic traps are normally recommended for this service.
